Basic information about the study

The follow-up master’s study programme of BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATICS (the title awarded is Ing.) corresponds to current requirements of industrial practice by connecting the study of knowledge with skills in the following areas:

• Economics and management

• Industrial management

• Informatics

As it is a professional study programme, the emphasis is placed, apart from theoretical teaching, on practical engineering training in industrial enterprises with global footprint. Within the study, this takes place in the form of:

• Engineering practice in specific industrial enterprises

• Lectures given by experts from practice

• Excursions in facilities of industrial enterprises

Apart from practical education in the field, it enables students to obtain experience in interpersonal communication and project management in real conditions.

In their subjects teachers make use of modern interactive methods and attitudes (simulations, demonstrations) and put emphasis on connecting theoretical and practical skills. In their subjects they also often use case studies or interactive management games so that students can understand the issues in detail and acquire disciplines and skills necessary for every manager working in international environment.

Within the framework of profile subjects, students acquire a deeper knowledge in a well-balanced combination of the following fields:

• Economics and management: Management economics, International management and Impacts of financial modeling on corporate accounting, Basics of management and Business science

• Industrial Management: Production organization and management II, Supply chain management and Quality management statistical methods II.

• Informatics: Data engineering, Development of information systems, Business system information analysis and Business informatics management

• Theoretical informatics: Basics of cybernetics and Theoretical basics of MI informatics

Students acquire practical managerial skills not only within the framework of the compulsory professional engineering practice at domestic or foreign industrial companies with global reach, but also through teaching. As part of this, students regularly meet with experts from practice, undergo skills training in the top Lean training centre of Škoda Auto a.s., or participate in regular excursions to leading industrial manufacturers. Practical experience is further developed during the preparation and defence of a diploma thesis, which, like the compulsory engineering practice, is focused on issues directly related to the study programme.
Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, students can spend a semester or two at one of the school's more than 60 partner universities. Škoda Auto Vysoká škola also offers other very interesting projects outside Erasmus+ in destinations such as India, South Korea, Vietnam, Israel and the USA to gain foreign experience.
The study programme is designed for graduates of bachelor's degree programmes in economics and technology, especially IT-oriented ones.
The follow-up Master's degree programme in Business Economics and Management Informatics is a continuation of the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Economics and Management Informatics implemented at the School of Business Administration and is open to graduates of identical or related degree programmes of other universities and degree programmes in the field of informatics.
Complete information on the admission procedure and the conditions required for admission can be found HERE.
