International Cooperation between ŠAVŠ and NIMS University

A meeting between representatives of Škoda Auto Vysoká škola and NIMS University from India took place with the aim of establishing strategic cooperation in the areas of education, research, and student exchange.Representing NIMS University were Prof. (Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar, Founder and Chancellor of the university, and Dr. Deepak Nathiya, Professor and Director for International Relations. Škoda Auto University was represented by Rector Prof. Ondřej Krejcar, Bursar Martina Zimmermann, Vice-Rector for International Relations Helena Chytilová, members of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Josef Bradáč, the Department of Production Management, Logistics and Quality Jan Fábry, Head of the Department of Marketing and Management and Director of MBA Programs Pavel Štrach, member of the Department of Informatics Lukáš Herout, and Head of the International Office Denisa Římalová. 

The program of the meeting included presentations of both universities and discussions on potential areas of collaboration. Representatives of both institutions identified shared interests particularly in the fields of Engineering & Science, Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence, and Management & Commerce. They also discussed opportunities for short-term and long-term student and staff mobility, joint scientific projects, and the potential development of joint study programs.

NIMS University is a private institution founded in 2000 and is now one of India’s leading educational institutions. It closely cooperates with the EU through the European Indo Pacific Hub for Digital Partnership in India and has more than 150 international partner universities and institutions. The university also boasts one of the most advanced AI and deep learning laboratories in Northern India, established in collaboration with NVIDIA. Its mission is to achieve excellence in education and healthcare and to transform society through innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of both parties in establishing a long-term partnership that could bring new opportunities for students and academic staff and further strengthen the international dimension of education at Škoda Auto Vysoká škola.
