Škoda Auto University opens a new chapter of cooperation with the prestigious Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Škoda Auto University continues to strengthen its international network of strategic partnerships. A new milestone has been reached through the establishment of cooperation with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), one of the world’s leading technical universities, ranked 157th globally in the QS World University Rankings. 

During the official visit of Rector of Škoda Auto Vysoká škola Prof. Ing. Ondřej Krejcar, MPA, from 22–26 June 2026, the two institutions signed a Letter of Intent, which was signed on behalf of UTM by Prof. Ts. Dr. Ali bin Selamat. The document reflects the shared commitment of both universities to develop a strong academic and institutional partnership, with the ambition of concluding a Memorandum of Understanding within the next year. 

The discussions confirmed a strong alignment between the strategic priorities of both institutions and identified numerous opportunities for future collaboration. These include the preparation of joint international research projects and matching grants, collaborative proposals under Horizon Europe and other international funding schemes, student and staff mobility, joint research initiatives, co-authored scientific publications, and the organisation of international conferences, workshops and other academic events.

This partnership represents another important step in advancing Škoda Auto University’s internationalisation strategy while creating a solid foundation for long-term cooperation in education, research, innovation and international project development. We are confident that this new collaboration will lead to meaningful joint initiatives and further strengthen the global engagement of both institutions.
