Škoda Auto Vysoká škola Advances Its Strategic Partnership with Shimonoseki City University

On 19–20 June 2026, at the invitation of its partner, Shimonoseki City University, Associate Professor Helena Chytilová, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Škoda Auto University, participated as an invited speaker at the international symposium held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the university.

Other invited speakers included Dr. Leona Stašová, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Hradec Králové, and Professor Jan Banout, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Technology Transfer at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.

In her keynote presentation, Helena Chytilová showcased Škoda Auto University’s achievements in research, international projects, and collaboration with industry. She highlighted concrete examples of international research initiatives, cooperation with the application sector, and the transfer of research results into practice as an integral part of a modern university’s mission.

The visit built on the successful cooperation established following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and generated new momentum for the further development of the partnership. Discussions focused on expanding student and academic mobility, joint research and publication activities, international projects, and further strengthening collaboration between the two universities.

The invitation to speak at this anniversary symposium reflects the deepening partnership between the two institutions while also highlighting the growing international standing of Škoda Auto University. The visit marks another important step in advancing a shared vision of a long-term strategic partnership based on high-quality education, applied research, and international cooperation.
