Škoda Auto Vysoká škola further strengthens Czech–Japanese academic ties

Škoda Auto Vysoká škola took part in a reception held on the occasion of this year’s mission of Czech universities to Japan. The meeting took place on 22 October 2025 at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador and enabled an in-person discussion of the outcomes of the visit as well as opportunities for further cooperation with Japanese universities.

ŠAVŠ was represented at the event by the Rector, prof. Ing. Ondřej Krejcar, Ph.D., MPA, thereby successfully building on the university’s participation in the mission of Czech universities to Taiwan and Japan (18–28 July 2025), organised by the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research.

The mission has already yielded the first concrete results. A delegation from Shimonoseki City University visited ŠAVŠ on 6 October 2025, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, opening the door to the development of internationalisation in both student and academic mobility as well as the development of joint project and research activities. Intensive negotiations on cooperation in the field of internationalisation are currently under way with other Japanese universities.

Škoda Auto Vysoká škola greatly values the contacts established and looks forward to further joint projects that will contribute to deepening Czech–Japanese academic ties.
