ŠAU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Shimonoseki City University from Japan

Škoda Auto University welcomed a delegation from Shimonoseki City University in Japan. The visit was led by Chang Wan Han, President of the university, accompanied by Professors Takaaki Shochi and Hideo Katem, and Associate Professor Sousuke Hany.

Representing Škoda Auto University were Rector and Director Assoc. Prof. Ing. Ondřej Krejcar, Ph.D., MPA, who also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation, Vice-Rector for International Relations Assoc. Prof. Ing. Helena Chytilová, M.A., Ph.D., Head of the International Office Ing. Denisa Římalová, M.A., International Project Manager Mgr. Lenka Stejskalová, MBA, and Ing. Lukáš Herout, Ph.D., a member of the ŠAVŠ Department of Informatics.

Both institutions presented their main areas of expertise and discussed possible forms of collaboration, particularly in the fields of student and staff mobility, joint research projects, and teaching. The signing of the memorandum between ŠAVŠ and Shimonoseki City University opens up new opportunities for international cooperation in areas where the interests of both universities naturally align.

Shimonoseki City University, located in Daigaku-cho, Shimonoseki City, specializes in economics and data science, disciplines that closely relate to the academic focus of Škoda Auto University.

The signing of the memorandum represents another step in Škoda Auto University long-term commitment to developing global partnerships and strengthening the international dimension of education.
