Projects funded by Foreign Providers
- COST: LIAISE, DIGI-NET, ECO4ALL
- Readiness of Companies for a New ESG Reporting Requirements: On Case of Czechia and Estonia
These are projects funded from foreign sources, most often from the European Union budget (e.g. operational programmes, Erasmus+, European Research Area projects). For operational programmes, the competition conditions are defined by the authority that administers the programme after approval by the European Commission. For other programmes, such as the Erasmus+ or ERA projects, Czech applicants are subject to more demanding conditions of international competitions, making these foreign projects even more worthwhile.
COST Initiative
The COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) programme is a European initiative that supports international collaboration in science and technology. Its main instrument is the COST Actions – four-year research networks that connect researchers, innovators, and professionals across academia, public institutions, and the private sector. These networks focus on specific research topics and support activities such as conferences, workshops, training schools, and short-term scientific exchanges. COST strongly promotes openness, multidisciplinarity, and the involvement of early-career researchers.
COST is funded by the Horizon Europe programme and member state contributions. While it does not finance research itself, it provides essential support for networking and knowledge sharing. Participation in COST Actions is often seen as a strategic step towards joining other EU-funded programmes, particularly Horizon Europe.
