The project strengthens the Third Mission of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Vietnam and the Maldives, positioning them as key drivers of sustainable socio-economic development. By enhancing institutional capacity, stakeholder engagement, and sustainabilityfocused strategies, the initiative enables HEIs to integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and green development into their governance, teaching, and outreach. Addressing the limited internationalization of non-mainstream HEIs, the project widens participation in Erasmus+ and strengthens institutional frameworks, particularly in underrepresented regions in Vietnam and HEIs outside the major international hubs in the Maldives. Aligned with national and EU priorities, it contributes to Green Recovery, Good Governance, and Skills & Jobs, supporting EU Team Europe initiatives on Climate Resilience and Better Skills. Key deliverables include a blueprint for institutional capacity building, co-created operational tools for Third Mission strategies, comprehensive training materials on sustainability, and a practical toolkit for inclusive HEIs. These resources, combined with structured mobility programs and international collaboration, will embed sustainability and social engagement into HEIs, fostering long-term impact across education, industry, and society.
