What is “NEXTLOGIC“?

NEXTLOGIC is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative aiming to transform how goods and mobility co-exist in cities—reducing emissions, optimizing space, and empowering stakeholders. 

  

Consortium

The project brings together more thatn 30 multidisciplinary partners from 13 countries to co-create sustainable urban logistics and mobility. Škoda Auto Vysoká škola o.p.s. together with Škoda Auto a.s. and EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hubeast s.r.o. are the only three partners from the Czech Republic. 

The whole project is coordinated by the Universite du Luxembourg.

Four projects under this call have been supported, including NEXTLOGIC. This represents an overall success rate of 6%.

Core technologies & approach

  • Digital Twin (DT) enriched with eXtended Reality (XR) & gamification to simulate urban scenarios.
  • Integration of real-time data (Floating Car Data, IoT sensors) + historical datasets to dynamically model traffic, logistics, and urban space usage.
  • Smart loading zones, mobile micro-hubs (e-cargo bikes, dynamic space allocation) for last-mile delivery.
  • Incentive & reward schemes, multimodal mobility integration, and optimized spatial planning.

NEXTLOGIC will be deployed in eight European cities, demonstrating scalable solutions in diverse urban contexts.
